Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Technician for our property in Colorado Springs, CO. 

The Maintenance Technician performs various maintenance duties requiring technical labor skills, including but not limited to, HVAC repairs and adjustments, electrical installations, plumbing, light carpentry/construction, and appliance repair. Works as a team participant along with the maintenance engineer to ensure the community meets the quality maintenance standards set by els.

Job Duties include:

  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs to the Community Manager
  • Assist Community Manager with special maintenance projects as necessary
  • Assist in maintaining grounds and common areas and keeping them free from trash and debris
  • Sweeps and maintains driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas any all other public areas as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Maintains Community flowerbeds by pruning, weeding and watering as needed. 
  • Monitors pool chemicals daily and maintains log books as required by health department
  • Maintains and cleans pool as needed
  • Operates various machinery such as lawnmowers, hedge-trimmers, etc
  • Installs and removes external temporary signage and decorations
  • Assists with and attends various community sponsored resident activities and functions
  • May be required to drive motorized company vehicle on and/or off company grounds
  • Move heavy objects as requested
  • Maintain open communication with Community Manager and Staff
  • Remain professional in attitude at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements include:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in related field is mandatory
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work with heavy equipment  
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record along with auto insurance
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to work on call as needed
